Geometry Finals (Hours 4, 6, and 7)

Hello students and/or parents! As the semester winds down, I wanted to address/explain the format of finals in the Geometry classes.

It's been a hard push at the end of the year to get through the third unit, which we normally have a mastery testing week for. My original plan was the make the mastery the final, but I have decided to treat the final like it's own test, but still base it on the third unit (given time constraints).  That means getting below 80% will not result in a 0.  This past Tuesday, we took the first version of the exam, to give students a chance to see some of the problems and help them determine how prepared they may be.  In the scheduled finals times (Wed/Thu/Fri), students will be taking the second version of the final, which will be a identical test to that from Tuesday. The grading will work such that they will receive the higher score between their take on Tuesday and that on the day of the final. Please look at the above post for links to study materials for the test.

Happy finals week and congrats on almost being done with the semester.

-Mr. P
